Wedding Ceremonies

As your celebrant based in Auckland I provide personal and heart-warming ceremonies and will work alongside you to ensure your ceremony is everything you want it to be. From providing the information and ideas you might need at the planning stages through to standing with you amidst the smiles, tears, nerves and laughter, I promise to be a celebrant you can trust and rely on who will help make your day beautiful and memorable.
Registry Wedding
Since March 2020 it is no longer possible to get married in a Registry Office. Instead a number of approved marriage celebrants are able to conduct Registry marriage ceremonies in their local community. I am proud to be an approved Registry Celebrant and provide this service within a 20km radius of Mt Eden, Auckland.

The ceremony itself follows a fixed script with no changes or additions permitted and you have two scripts to choose from.
Registry weddings can only be performed on weekdays (not public holidays) and have a set Celebrant fee of $90 plus $150 licence fee (payable to Births, Deaths and Marriages).

Simple Wedding
For couples who want a beautiful ceremony or just to elope with little fuss, the simple wedding is a fantastic option.
You choose from 3 of my pre-written wedding ceremonies including your choice of vows, readings, and ring exhange wording.
After meeting with you initially, we will confirm all the details by phone or email and no rehearsal is held.
With the ceremony taken care of, you can simply relax on the day and know that your wedding will be beautiful, genuine without any fuss or stress.
The simple wedding / elopement suits couples who are happy with a pre-written ceremony and who just want to get married. Any travel outside of the Auckland area may incur travel costs. Here’s what one lovely couple said about their simple wedding:

Personalised Wedding
For couples who want a personalised wedding ceremony written especially for them, reflecting their story, their humour and any of their special cultural or spirital elements.
At our first meeting I’ll shout the coffee (or wine) and listen to what you want for your wedding ceremony. If you literally have no idea then I have a handy Resource Pack full of goodies that I will provide you. This includes how to apply for your marriage licence NZ, your marriage certificate nz, ideas for poems, songs, readings and vows. It also includes a sample wedding ceremony structure to give you some guidance which we can adapt to suit your needs and wishes.
I draft the ceremony including the story of how you met and fell in love and what you love about each other. We can have fun with this, trust me I have a secret way of getting all the juicy details out of you (it’s ok, it’s pretty painless). The wedding ceremony can be as simple or elaborate as you would like but I will craft it to reflect YOU, your personalities and beliefs, your story told your way. I won’t include anything you don’t want me to because we will email back and forth until you are 110% happy with it.
We usually hold a rehearsal two or three days before the wedding day at the venue. It’s a chance to have all the key players together including the bride and groom (of course), the wedding party, mums and dads and sometimes even the photographer and videographer if they are available. We will work out the choreography (no I know its not a Musical), that just means where everyone will stand, walk in, walk out and so forth. This is the best preparation for calming your nerves and being completely ready for the big day.
I will be at the venue 1 hour before the start and will catch up with the photographer, videographer, MC and venue manager so that we are all on the same page. I have my own PA system and mic so everyone will hear everything. Then it all happens - you get married and live happily ever after - and your family and friends and you all have the best day of your lives. I give you your copy of the Particulars of Marriage and complete the legalities with Births, Deaths and Marriages.
